Practice the art of transforming your emotions weekly.

Meditation and painting provide spaces for relaxation, muscle relaxation, peace, emotional release , and reconnection with our authentic essence through the Watercolor & Creative Unblocking method.

For 1 hour and 30 minutes each week we have a meditative practice followed by a creative exercise for free expression and reconnection with our essence.

When will the workshops be?

The workshops take place every Monday, online from 7-8:30 pm.

Each workshop will feature a different meditation and proposal, according to the intention of the week.

Developed by Ju Varella after experiencing many bouts of anxiety, depression, and creative blocks while working in print design at OYSHO (Zara group in Barcelona), the method is based on understanding our blocks and limitations through meditation, self-observation, and painting as a tool for transforming our emotions and blocks into authentic works of art!

During the class we understood how the process of unlocking our creativity and our lives works through meditative practices and watercolor painting.

Students should have a basic understanding of watercolor painting to begin the Meditate Painting program, as watercolor techniques will not be taught , only practical exercises. If you wish to delve deeper into the technique, we recommend our online course.

Each class features a new meditation tailored to the group's needs that day. The meditations are intuitively guided by the teacher during the class.

The creative exercises will be based on watercolor painting, but other techniques can be used if you feel drawn to them, such as writing or whatever you have at home.

Ju Varella, creator of the method
Watercolor & Creative Unlocking

A native of São Paulo and a citizen of the world, she graduated from ESPM in advertising and went on to complete her studies in London at UAL (University of Arts London) where she deepened her knowledge of technical aspects of design, fine arts and printing.

She lived in Barcelona for 7 years where she worked as a print designer for OYSHO (Zara group) and created her Watercolor & Creative Unblocking method after several bouts of anxiety and depression.

Their method has been on the market for over 5 years and validated by 2,000 women around the world.

Meditation, watercolor painting, and understanding how we create our blockages were essential to the development of the method, which aims to transform our emotions into authentic art, generating recognition of our personal power and authentic expression of our being.

I've never painted before, is this course for me?

This workshop is for practicing creativity and unlocking creative potential through art, whatever form it may take. Those who already know how to paint with watercolors can benefit from practicing weekly. For those who don't yet know how, we recommend taking the in-person workshop or the online course Introduction to Watercolor. However, it's possible to practice "meditating while painting" with other paints and artistic materials, including writing!

I'm already an artist, is this course for me?

Absolutely. Meditating through painting is a way to delve deeper into unlocking creativity and accessing authenticity in your work, as well as creating space in your schedule to take care of yourself.

What is the address?

Do I need materials?

The suggested materials for the class are watercolors, watercolor paper, and brushes. (A list will be sent by email upon booking confirmation.) If you wish to practice meditation and create using other techniques such as writing, acrylic, gouache, collage, etc., that is also possible.
